Thirteen Senses have written
a couple of nice, melodic, solid, indie guitar songs that are somehow
devoid of energy, leaving this single merely pleasant and forgettable
rather than the passionate, life-changing experience that I imagine
they are aiming for.
So despite the reverb-drenched
guitar solos, the wavering vocals, the fake(?) American accent,
and sing-along chorus, this record is a wholly unemotional experience
for the listener. See also: Hope Of The States.
Oh, and including a line like
"I keep forgetting how to write good songs" is incredibly reckless/arrogant
for a band so young and unproven.
